Al-Zaytoon holds the title of oldest operational soap factory, producing over four hundred varieties of soaps and cosmetics. Al-Zaytoon, established 1611, is a family soap factory, whose roots are deeply entrenched within the Nabulus soap making tradition. The Tbeleh family, for the last four centuries, are known specialists, called upon by local soapmakers and producers to facilitate the highly specialized process of cutting the soap. This is further demonstrated by the locals referring to the Expert Soap Cutter position as the “Tbeleh guy.”
All products are Eco Certified Organic and Halal, containing the highest percentage possible, 82%, of ingredients found on the certified organic ingredients list.
Olive oil soap gets better with age. Keep them in a dry place for an increasingly olive-tan colored, dense, sudsy, and less soap-smelling bar. They can be aged even faster in a sunny window.
Ingredients: Virgin olive oil, water, and sodium hydroxide. Nablus soap is cooked in the traditional style out of these ingredients and results in a soda-less bar of pure saponified olive oil.
Average 5 oz per bar.
